Our highest paying fobs get categorized into tier 1 of our pricing structure. These keys include all smart and proximity keys. In fact, our tier one includes fobs with the highest payouts. Like all products, pricing varies based on supply and demand. Some other factors that contribute to the value of these fobs are the features and interchangeable circuit boards.
On newer cars, keys do a lot more than just lock and unlock doors. The key fob provides keyless entry, keyless ignition, and immobilizer system. Additionally, these fobs are compatible with newer car models that are in some cases more complicated to unlock and program, increasing their cost. A specific quote from us will also depend on the overall condition of the fob. The better the condition the better the payout. However, once we have established pricing of your fobs we will continue to honor pricing on future submissions. Get our preferred pricing on any 10 or more car remotes by connecting with a procurement specialist or requesting a label on our website.
Did you know plastic can take 10-1000 years to decompose in landfills? Nowadays, key fobs are made up of mostly plastic, metal, and battery components. Recycling these components effectively, can help our environment by reducing the amount of waste and eliminating toxic processes. For example, recycling metal reduces the amount of greenhouse gas emitted during the smelting process and decreases the amount of energy being used. It also prevents pollution by eliminating the need to collect new raw materials. In order to discard keys, it is recommended that individuals drive to collection sites or recycling centers. At Remote Recycle, we save you the trip by sending a prepaid shipping label and buying your key fobs. We recycle automotive fobs in house by creating alternative solutions for the various key components. Some of these alternatives include refurbishing components to create replacement keys and restoring valuable key parts. Furthermore, we recycle all components related to the storage and shipment of the fobs.
By recycling key fobs, we reduce the amount of waste going into landfills, re-purpose materials, protect our environment, and create jobs in our community. If you’d like to take part in our initiative to recycle, you can simply request a prepaid shipping label on our website and send in your unwanted keys. A procurement specialist will then send you a quote and you will receive a payment via PayPal or check. It is that easy, we will pay you to recycle your key fobs. Try our service risk free and connect with us through any of our social media platforms.
Cars.com is trying a new approach to help you find the perfect car, just swipe. Today, customers must manage dozens of car dealerships with new models and features coming out each year. It is easy to become overwhelmed with the process. Having just purchased a new car within the last 6 months, I can attest to how stressful this process can be. Between checking all the various makes and models and then finding which dealership has the best deal and inventory, it can be awfully time consuming.
Cars.com is trying to flip the script. They want to give customers all the information they need all in one place. From year, make, model and features to dealership and even sales person. Many people don’t know exactly what they are looking for or where they can find it, so the app is designed to help people make smart and informed decisions on cars that they not only like but can afford. A cool feature is the “price drop alert” that will let you know if a car you are interested in has a price reduction.
This new way of helping perspective car buyers find the perfect car for them doesn’t only benefit the buyer. This app will put car dealers in contact with customers that have expressed an interest in a specific car. According to Alex Vetter, an executive with Cars.com, over 80% of people using the app anticipate purchasing a vehicle within the next 6 months.
Would you use this app as a tool to help you purchase your next vehicle? We would love to hear from you!

Do you hate digging through your pockets or purse to find your key fob? Well, Apple has recently filed a patent to ease the process of gaining access to your vehicle. The concept focuses on maximizing the proximity features already inside the vehicle. Other vehicles allow for the driver to access their vehicle via an app or keyless entry feature. However, this communication is done through a third party, On Star. The app must first communicate with On Star, that then communicates with the vehicle to perform the task, and then one more time back to the user so that they are notified if the request was completed or not. That seems like a lot of back and forth to simply unlock your vehicle.
Apple is approaching the idea of remotely accessing your vehicle from a completely different angle. They are proposing that the application communicates directly with the vehicle using the proximity feature the car already uses to communicate with the key fob. This method is said to be faster because the communication is being done directly with the vehicle, and not over the internet like the other systems that communicate via On Star.
Would you rather have your fob integrated into your phone? Or do you prefer a physical key fob?
We would love to hear from you!
Walmart has teamed up with Florida based CarSaver to provide their customers with a new way to save money and time while purchasing a vehicle. For the past year or so, Walmart had been in the pilot stages of having CarSaver sell cars out of their big box stores. That trial apparently went well because Walmart announced that they will be expanding this service to over 250 locations.
CarSaver is a company that wants to help you buy, sell, finance and insure your next car. CarSaver has relationships with their Certified Dealerships and they agree to specific pricing requirements, maintain high customer satisfaction scores and offer a wide variety of inventory. Another potentially appealing feature of Car Saver is that they offer a free lifetime warranty on the engine, transmission and drivetrain of all vehicles sold. The owners are required to keep up with customary maintenance and this must be done at a CarSaver authorized dealership.

Recycling is a hot button issue these days. Unrecycled single-use plastics are amongst the biggest polluters of our oceans and beaches. Several countries and cities have already stepped up and effectively banned single-use plastics.
As of August 2017, Kenya has placed a complete ban on the use of plastic bags. The UK has taken a big step toward banning plastic microbeads that are found in face scrubs and personal care products. Montreal began 2018 by banning all single-use plastic bags. The city of Malibu, CA has voted to ban the sale, distribution and use of single-use plastic straws, silverware and stirrers. As of July 1, Seattle became the first U.S. city to put in place a complete ban on single-use plastic utensils and straws. It was just a matter of time before corporate America began feeling the heat. One week after Seattle implemented its ban on single-use plastics, Starbucks announced that by 2020 all their signature green straws will be replaced with straws made of biodegradable material.
Recently, Adidas announced that they would be teaming up with an organization called Parley to incorporate unrecycled plastic from beaches into its products. So far, Adidas has a line of Parley products that range from shoes to yoga pants. The money from these products will be invested in The Parley Ocean School, that focuses on environmental education for kids with the goal of “raising the next generation of ocean guardians”.
As of this morning, Disney announced that they will be doing away with plastic straws and stirrers in all their parks with exception of Disney Tokyo.
Here at Remote Recycle, we work hard to ensure that the plastic waste we produce is properly recycled. At the end of the day, the responsibility falls on each of us to take responsibility for the waste we produce and to keep the planet clean and healthy for the next generation.
